General Vehicle Rules
Owners
Daytime parking in guest spaces is limited to owners and/or their guest. Overnight parking in guest spaces is reserved for owners and/or their guest. It is REQUIRED that the Property Manager be notified of the make, color, and license plate number of cars, along with the Unit number, using the guest spaces. This will avoid cars being towed. Property Manager will not permit parking on an ongoing basis to any one unit or person. If any Owner knows that he will need a VARIANCE from the parking rules, he must contact management PRIOR to this need (ie: for a party or other gathering) by sending an email to [email protected].
Renters
Parking in guest spaces is not allowed for renters/tenants and/or their guests, at any time. Owners are responsible for their renters/tenants, in addition to the Owner’s guests, who violate Vail Point’s Rules and Regulations. Any fine that is assessed shall be the obligation of the Owner.
Commercial & Recreational Vehicles
No commercial vehicles and no recreational vehicles may be parked at any Unit or on Vail Point property, except in the garages or, as to commercial vehicles, while services are being performed at a Unit by the commercial vehicle owner or operator. Recreational vehicles shall include, but not be 5 limited to: motor homes, motor coaches, buses, ATVs, campers, snow mobiles, or trailers. A commercial vehicle: signs that are affixed and visible on the exterior of the vehicle that advertises a business, is used for a business, and/or specifically designed for a commercial use such as a panel van or truck with a chassis-mounted bed or box.
Any commercial vehicle (moving trucks, delivery trucks, etc.) or recreational vehicle that is greater than 20 feet in length must receive prior approval from the Managing Agent before entering the premises.
Traffic & Speed LImit
All markings and signs regulating traffic or parking posted at Vail Point shall be strictly observed. The speed limit on the driveway is a maximum of 10 miles per hour.
Unauthorized & Abandoned Vehicles
Unauthorized vehicles are those that are not in compliance with Rule 8, above. All unauthorized and abandoned vehicles will be immediately towed at the vehicle owner’s expense. Abandoned vehicles include, but are not limited to, those with expired license plates, unattended flat tire(s), up on jacks, not moved by their own propulsion for 24 hours, or in a state of disrepair while parked in the guest parking or outside of a garage.
Immediate Towing Without Warning
Vehicles may be towed without warning under these circumstances:
- The vehicle owner or operator has received two previous notices for parking inappropriately in the same manner;
- The vehicle is being repossessed;
- The removal is authorized by a court order, peace officer, or operation of law;
- The vehicle blocks a driveway or roadway;
- The vehicle is parked in a disability parking space without an appropriate placard/plate;
- The vehicle is parked in a fire zone;
- The vehicle is parked in another resident’s designated parking space without permission; or
- The vehicle is parked without authorization in a parking lot marked for the exclusive use of residents or invited guests (such as without a required parking permit).
